Who we are
Phone AI is provided by AGI Applications Inc. (“we”, “us”), 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States. On the App Store, the app is listed under its developer, Aryan Chaurasia. This policy covers:
- The Phone AI app for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It is an AI receptionist and calling assistant for individuals and businesses.
- Phone AI for Shopify, an embedded Shopify app that answers a store's customer-support calls and, if the store turns it on, website chat and voice.
- tryphoneai.com and the related support pages.

Summary
- We use information to run the service: to answer and route calls, write transcripts and summaries, and keep your account working.
- AI runs online. The audio and text needed for a call are sent to our servers and to third-party AI, speech and telephone providers.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information.
Phone AI app (iPhone, iPad, Mac)
When you use the app, we handle the following:
- Account information: your account identifier, name, email address, the sign-in details your sign-in provider shares with us, and the phone numbers linked to your account.
- Calls and messages: caller and recipient numbers, call time, duration and status, audio processed during calls, recordings when you turn them on, transcripts, summaries, voicemail, messages and attachments. This content can include information about the other people on the call.
- Assistant content: your receptionist's instructions and business details, knowledge-base entries and uploaded material, conversations with the assistant, and the responses it generates. If you use a voice-personalization feature, we process the voice samples you provide.
- Contacts: contacts you pick, import or type in, and device contacts you let the app access. We use these to identify callers and for contact features.
- Connected integrations: account identifiers, access tokens, calendar availability, event details and anything else a specific integration needs. The connection screen lists the permissions it asks for.
- Purchases and usage: subscription status, transaction identifiers, purchase history, plan allowances and usage counts. Apple processes App Store payments, so we never receive your full card details.
- Technical information: app and OS versions, device information, network and security logs, crash reports, performance data and in-app interaction diagnostics, which may be linked to your account. We use advertising-attribution data to measure our campaigns. We use your device's advertising identifier only if you allow tracking.
- Support: the messages and attachments you send us. Support emails started from the app include your user ID, app version and device/OS details. You can review the email before you send it.
Phone AI for Shopify
The merchant decides how Phone AI is set up and controls its own customer relationships. We process shopper information on the merchant's behalf to provide that store's support service. We also use merchant account and technical information to run and secure Phone AI. The store's own privacy policy covers everything else the store does with your information.
Merchant and staff information
- Shopify shop identity and domain, staff permissions, subscription status and usage.
- Support instructions, business hours and time zone, the human transfer destination, and the assistant's voice and greeting.
Store content
- Product and variant details and stock status that the app is permitted to read, the store's published policies, and support knowledge the merchant adds.
Shopper and order information
- Contact phone numbers and email addresses on customer and order records, order identifiers, purchased items, and fulfillment or tracking details. We use only what a support request needs.
- We use caller ID to find orders that might belong to the caller. Caller ID alone doesn't prove who someone is, so the caller must be verified before any order details are shared.
- The app does not request customer names or street addresses. From shipping and billing addresses, it reads only the phone number, which it uses to match callers and to verify them.
Calls and follow-ups
- Caller and called numbers, call identifiers, times, duration, outcome, verification and consent status, and follow-up requests for store staff.
- Live speech is processed so the assistant can understand and answer the call. Transcripts and summaries are saved only if the store has turned on saved conversation notes and the caller agrees.
- Audio recording is not part of the Shopify app.
Website assistant (chat and voice on the store)
- If a store adds the Phone AI assistant to its website, we process the messages shoppers type and the store page where the chat started. If a shopper asks for follow-up, we also process the email address and details they give, such as an order number.
- If the shopper starts a voice chat, their speech is processed live so the assistant can answer. Voice is only captured after the shopper taps the voice button and allows the microphone. The assistant's replies and the shopper's words are saved as text in the same conversation. Audio is not recorded.
- The browser keeps a random conversation identifier so the chat can continue across pages. We don't use advertising cookies or trackers in the assistant.
- Store staff can read these conversations and reply in them. Website conversations are deleted 30 days after they start.
Technical and security information
- Access and authorization events, errors, request identifiers and operational records. We use these to prevent abuse, fix problems, reconcile billing and keep the service reliable. Access logs don't include call content, email addresses or phone numbers, and they refer to stores and staff by pseudonymous identifiers.
Shopify handles app installation, permissions and subscription billing under its own policies. We do not receive merchants' payment-card details.
If you call or chat with a Phone AI assistant
If you call, or chat with, a person or business that uses Phone AI, an AI assistant may answer. We process your phone number, what you say on the call, and the call's details. We do this so we can answer you, take a message, book an appointment or pass your request to the business. The business controls the assistant's instructions and decides whether calls are recorded or transcribed. It is responsible for telling you and asking for your consent where the law requires it. For privacy requests about a specific business, contact that business first. You can also email us and we will coordinate with the business where appropriate.
How we use information
We use information to:
- provide the service: run accounts, assign and manage phone numbers, connect and route calls, and answer callers using the instructions you give;
- write transcripts, summaries and follow-up requests, and sync your history across devices;
- verify callers before sharing order information (Shopify);
- manage contacts, calendars and appointments you ask us to handle;
- verify purchases and subscriptions, track included usage, and calculate charges;
- prevent fraud, abuse and spam, secure the service, and diagnose problems;
- answer support and privacy requests, and meet legal, tax and telecommunications requirements.
The assistant may read your knowledge-base content to callers, so only add information you're allowed to share. We don't use Shopify store or shopper data for marketing, and we don't use connected calendar data for advertising.
Service providers and sharing
We use third-party providers for the following functions. Each receives only what it needs for its job.
- Telephone and real-time communication providers carry calls and messages. They process phone numbers, call audio and delivery records.
- Third-party AI providers include large language models, speech recognition and voice generation. They process the audio, text, instructions and conversation context needed to understand callers and produce replies, transcripts, summaries and voices.
- Cloud hosting, database, storage and authentication providers run our servers, store data and handle sign-in.
- Third-party payment and subscription services process purchases and tell us whether a subscription is active. For the Shopify app, this is Shopify's billing.
- Diagnostics, analytics and attribution providers help us keep the app working and measure our advertising campaigns (iOS app only). Any tracking that needs your permission follows your choice in iOS.
- Transactional email providers deliver support links a caller asks for, if the store has this turned on (Shopify).
- Services you connect, such as a calendar, receive what they need for the actions you turn on.
We may also share information with people you choose to contact, such as a call's transfer destination. We may share it with people you authorize to access your account, such as a store's staff. We may share it when the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or to deal with fraud and security incidents. If our business is ever reorganized or sold, the information may transfer with it under this policy. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Calendars and connected integrations
Integrations are optional. With calendar access, the assistant can check your availability, show relevant events, and create or manage the appointments you allow. You can disconnect an integration in the app, or revoke access in the connected account's settings. Revoking access stops future access, but appointments that were already created stay in place.
When you connect a Google account, our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We don't use connected calendar data for advertising or to train general-purpose AI models.
Recording, transcription and consent
Some places require notice to, or consent from, everyone on a call before it is recorded, transcribed or handled by AI. If you use Phone AI, you are responsible for giving that notice and getting consent. Use the app's greeting, disclosure and recording settings. A setting on its own does not give you legal permission. In the Shopify app, conversation notes are saved only after the caller agrees, and callers can ask to speak to a person.
You can change microphone, contacts, notification and tracking permissions in your device settings. If you turn a permission off, the features that depend on it may stop working.
Retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as we need it to provide the features you use. We also keep it where needed for security, billing, disputes and legal obligations. How long depends on the type of information. Deleted data can remain in backups or required operational records for a limited time, so deletion is not always immediate across every system.
Phone AI app
- To delete your account, go to Settings → Delete account, or email us if you can't sign in. We may need to confirm you own the account.
- We may keep some transaction, abuse-prevention and legally required records.
- Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription or turn off call forwarding at your carrier. Cancel and turn off forwarding separately.
Phone AI for Shopify
- Website chat and voice conversations are deleted 30 days after they start.
- Saved conversation transcripts and summaries are hidden and removed 30 days after the call. Other records have their own retention periods. These include basic call details, follow-up requests, billing and security records, backups, and data held by providers.
- Uninstalling disconnects the app from your store. Shopify's customer data request, customer redaction and shop redaction requests trigger export or deletion. We keep a record of any work still in progress until it is complete.
We can't delete copies you've shared with other people or exported to your own devices.
Security and international transfers
We use technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, authenticated requests and records scoped to each store and account. No system is completely secure. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use the safeguards that data-protection law requires for these transfers.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access, correct, export or delete your information;
- restrict or object to how we use it, or withdraw consent;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we don't do either);
- complain to your local data-protection authority.
To make a request, email info+PhoneAI@agiapplications.org. We may need to verify your identity. If you're a shopper, tell us which store you contacted so we can work with that store. Merchants can also use Shopify's customer privacy tools. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights. Please don't send passwords, payment-card numbers or other sensitive information you don't need to.
This website
tryphoneai.com doesn't use advertising cookies, analytics or third-party trackers. Our hosting and network provider processes standard request data, such as IP addresses and browser information, to deliver and secure the site. If you email us, we use your message to reply.
Children and changes
Phone AI is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it. When our practices change, we will update this page and its effective date. If a change is material, we will give additional notice where required.
